I can’t believe it is the start of yet another school year! What’s more, I can’t believe how much these children have grown and matured since I taught them in 1/2! Now they are the leaders of our school and with that comes a great responsibility, which I am sure they can all handle!

May we all have an amazing 2014 together!
P.S. Here are some of us with our favourite classmates Pearl and Mable.
Whilst you people were all in your air-conditioned homes, some of us had to find other ways to cool down….
Seriously Betty White has not moved from this spot all day and I thought I liked sunbaking! Think I might have to start putting sunscreen on her!!
So we ventured out in our car and drove on what I would say is the ‘wrong side of the road’ for 1hr 20min to the beach that has the famous ‘Pipeline’ waves! It was a great way to see the island and although the waves were 20 m the day before we were happy to sit and watch the 10-15m waves. We sat on the sand and watched people surfing and saw a few tricks like a 360, which was very impressive. We later drove further to the most northern point of Oahu, a little beach called Turtle Bay. Unfortunately it was way too cold to swim so we settled for a burger and chips lunch by the beach instead.
The next day it was finally New Years Eve and we celebrated by watching the fireworks at Midnight and meeting some new friends along the way! We played pool and did some dancing, it was a great night! NYD meant very tired Kate and Nicole, so we layer by the pool all day long, with a few quick dips every now and then! It was super relaxing!
After a couple more beach days and some more late night shopping, it was time to come home. We were so sad to leave but have made plans to visit Hawaii again next year. I was missing Mr V and Betty anyway, so coming home wasn’t so bad! Plus Mr V couldn’t wait to wear his present!
